The Calibration Laboratory of Immission (KLI) of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute provides full control over national metrological traceability of gaseous chemical compounds measurement in ambient air in very low concentration levels (air pollution concentration levels). Our laboratory is affiliated with the Czech Metrological Institute (CMI). KLI also obtained the certificate of accreditation by the Czech Accreditation Institute (CAI) in 2000 for measurement of concentrations of gasses measurement for calibration of measuring instruments of sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, ozone and since 2002 benzene, toluene and xylenes in ambient air.
  The excellent calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs) of the CLI were confirmed by its including in the key comparison database (KCDB) of certified materials producers of the International Bureau for Weights and Measurement (Bureau international des poids et mesures - BIPM), Sévres, France. At present the KLI is the center of calibration of tropospheric ozone for the Central and Eastern Europe.
