Modelling and Expertise Pool Department
Our department mainly focuses on:
- development and improvement of air quality transport models for atmospheric pollutants and odour substances
- development of software modules for air quality modelling purposes and their application in expert and prognostic studies in the field of air quality protection
- suggesting methodologies for the analysis of operational data from air quality and meteorological monitoring network for the purposes of the smog regulatory system
- cooperation with the Municipality of the capital city of Prague in smog episode announcements within the Smog Warning and Regulatory System (SWRS)
- preparation of the expert and evaluation studies on the SWRS operation on demand of the Ministry of the Environment and the Municipality of the capital city of Prague
- participation in national and international projects with focus on air quality and human health protection
