User Information

The User Information page provides a way for you to set the user preferences in the following categories:

Welcome
Language Information
Membership Password
Last Update

Welcome

The Welcome section of the User Information edit page lets you set the following preferences:

Common Name – You can correct or update your name by typing the name you want displayed in the common name field. Your name will show up as part of your return address through the Portal Server mail applications.

Greeting – Type a greeting to be displayed in the User Information channel.

Timezone – Select your time zone.

Language Information

The Language menu lets you choose the language in which your standard Portal Desktop is displayed.

Membership Password

Membership password settings allow you to change your membership password. Membership authentication is a form of authentication that uses a self-registration module rather than an independent authentication database. This form of registration provides a way for you to register yourself and create you own account.

To Change Membership Password

Type your original Membership password in the Original Password field.
Type your new password in the New Password field.
Retype your new password in the Confirm New Password field.

Last Update

Last Update gives the session information. Under Last Update, you can find details such as the day and time you logged in, the amount of time left in the current session after which you will be automatically logged out, and the maximum idle time allowed.
